Chad was one of the best friends I had from the first time we met in 1992. We still played ball at the Y together before I moved. When I found out he passed I couldn't believe it. Being his friend. Being around him was always uplifting. I love this man like a brother.

Although I was not close to Chad or the family, I did know him from high school at Lakes....we shared homeroom together. I'll never forget his love for basketball. More recently, I found that he worked for CPSD as do I and had been told of his knack for working with children and heard about him having an adorable little girl of his own. As I see in pictures here, he does have a beautiful family! I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and hope that each of you remain strong during this hard time. It is never easy to lose a loved one, especially when they weren't given the opportunity to live a full life. I've had the pleasure of knowing Chad for 25+ years and can't express how hard hearing the news hurt. My deepest sadness to you all at this time. I often have thought of Chad and wondered how he was doing. I heard through the grapevine he wasn't doing well and now see that he lost his fight. I remember those first treatment days and how terrified he was of needles, 1, 2, 3 and go... he had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh. Who knew tennis shoes could weigh so much.
