Celia Lee Jackson Isaac's Obituary
Celia Lee Jackson Isaac was born May 4, 1934 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Alvin and Betty Jackson. She is the third oldest of 10 children. She was preceded in death by her parents and son “Benji” and sisters Lillie Mae Summers, Lee Ann Davis and longtime companion Benjamin Carter.
"Celia spent most of her years in Tacoma, Washington where she attended Central, McCarver Elementary and Stadium High School. Celia was a Nurse’s Aid for many years at My Home Nursing Home until she retired.
Mama’s house was a known place to come for good food and fish fry’s as well as holiday dinners. Friends and family were always welcomed to stop by for sweet potato pie and banana pudding during the holidays. She enjoyed walking down to Peace Lutheran Church where she attended for many years. She enjoyed house visits with her pastor and church members. Celia had a revolving door for family and close friends to stop by and visit any time. She was very fond of her family and loved to be around her sisters and brothers who often looked out for her. Celia also enjoyed fishing with family every summer whether it was lake fishing, dock fishing or charter fishing, her fishing pole was always ready.
Those who cherish her memories and life are sisters Willie Mae Johnson, Christine (Mangle) Moody, Teresa (Emmett Sr.) Linton and Josephine Hughes and brothers Alvin Jackson, Melvin (Sharon) Jackson and Andrew Jackson all of Tacoma, Washington; Children Leroy (Sandra) Jackson, Cynthia (Michael Sr.) Moore, Darlene (Walt) Whitson, Vertisel Isaac Jr., William Isaac and Robert Sr. (Antoinette) Isaac.
In addition, she leaves 26 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
