Cecil Carroll's Obituary
Cecil Dan Carroll passed peacefully away on September 24, 2012 in Olympia, Washington. Cecil was born September 5, 1927 to Vincent and Viona Johnson Carroll in Leamington, Utah. Cecil was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy.
He graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree and LaSalle University with a LLB degree in Law.
Cecil was an engineer for Asarco Smelter in Tacoma, Washington, Phillips Petroleum Company in Idaho, and US Steel Company in Orem, Utah. He retired from the Federal Government EPA agency in Lacey, Washington.
Cecil was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served three missions for His church and served in many positions.
Cecil was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Watkins Carroll, daughters, Susan and Jennifer, Son Lee, and Sister Mary Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wright Carroll, Sons Alan Carroll (Toni), and David Wright (Jeanne); His
Daughters, Cindy Carroll Jensen (Karl), Ann Wright Johnson (Larry), Jayne Wright Hincks (David), and Carol Wright Haney (Gregg); His Sister Betty Record (Art) and His Brother John Carroll. Cecil has twenty-five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Sunday, September 30th from 4:00to 5:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home. 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW Lakewood, Washington.
Cecil will be buried in Provo, Utah where His family will gather for a memorial service.
