I was blessed to have worked side by side with Kay on projects for Visitation School. Kay was a mentor to many of us school parents who looked up to her and her wisdom in doing the many fundraisers that were needed to help Visitation School survive and thrive as it is today. Her can-do attitude and spunkiness was a great inspiration to many of us! I would like to express my deepest sympathy on your loss. I worked for Kay for 3 years back in 1975. I knew nothing about bookkeeping when she hired me, and she taught me everything I knew which was enough to work in accounting for 15 years. I have thought about her many times and regret that I lost touch with her, but I know that she is with her husband now.

To the entire Spencer family I want to extend my deepest sympathy.. Aunt Katie was in our family before I was even born... I have grown up knowing her as Aunt Katie and will never for get her... I can still smell the ham cooking when as children we would sometimes go to Aunt Katie's and Uncle Bob's house for dinner... And my years working at the store I will always remember her coming down the stairs after going up and cooking lunch for Jim and Uncle Bob.
