Catherine McClellan PokusDecember 3, 1928 Â- July 29, 2004 Born in New York City, Catherine was the eldest of four children born to Joseph McClellan and Marie Meier McClellan. Catherine attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma and graduated with the class of 1947. Catherine married Albert Poskus in 1956 and then moved to Pennsylvania with her husband. Her only son Patrick James was born in 1959. Catherine later divorced, returning with her son to Tacoma. Catherine worked as a court reporter for the U.S. Army and then the Washington State Courts. She had many interests including various charities, traveling, and supporting the arts. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and mother. Her beloved son Patrick precedes in death as do her parents Joseph and Marie, sister Joan, and brother Harold. Catherine is survived by her brother James, nephew Michael, and nieces Pamela, Joey, Jill, Spring, and Cassandra. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Yelm Animal Shelter at P.O.
