Catherine Anzovino's Obituary
CATHERINE ANZOVINO
May 18, 1912 - March 5, 2010
A longtime Tacoma resident, Catherine was born in Atlanta, Ga. to John and Myrtice Conti Anzovino. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Birmingham Southern College in 1934, winning a scholarship to the School of Social Work at William and Mary where she received her MSW Degree. In Richmond, Va., she was the Social Work Liason between the Family Service Agency and the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Coming to Tacoma in 1948 as Caseworker Supervisor for Family Counseling Service, she became Executive Director of that Agency from 1950 until her retirement in 1976. She is survived by several cousins, all in the East. Her many friends are welcome to Catherine's Celebration of Life gathering at Bridgeport Place - 5250 Bridgeport Way West on Friday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m. Remembrances may be made to The American Red Cross - Mt.
