Our Lord called home his daughter, Catherine, on Saturday, June 28th, 2008, at the age of 76. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, friend and Sister in Christ to all who let her. She is survived and dearly loved by her sons, Michael (Karen), Robert, Mark, daughter Denise Merdich, and sister Ellen White. Her beloved grandchildren are Jeff Merdich and Robert-Lee. Her many nieces, nephews, and friends meant the world to her. She dedicated her life to serving our Lord, and loving her family and friends unconditionally. Life will never be the same without her; the world has lost a saint, but her legacy will be continued because she showed us how to love others as God loves us. Viewing will be Wed., July 2nd, 4-8pm, at Curnow Funeral Home, Sumner, (253) 863-2800. Services will be held Thu., July 3, 2008 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Federal Way. Rosary begins at 10:30 AM, Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception, then procession to Mountain View Funeral Home, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Franciscan Hospice House, University Place, (253) 534-7000, to whom her family and friends are grateful.
