Catalina D. Sibonga's Obituary
Catalina Dioso Sibonga, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2008. She was born in Pandan, Antique, Philippines and came to the United States in 1952. A member of the St. John Bosco Parish (Lakewood, Washington), Catalina was also active in the Filipino communities of Pierce and King Counties, particularly with her husband James Sibonga, now deceased. Catalina was preceded in death not only by her husband in 1973 but by her grandson James in 2003. She is survived by her daughters Lilia Murphy (Anacortes, WA), Erlinda Lowry (Kaneohe, HI), Thelma Lowry (Vancouver, WA), Jean Sibonga-Van Horn (Houston, TX) and her son Antonio D. Sibonga (Tacoma, WA) as well as by her grandchildren Jennifer Davis, Nathan Lowry, Ryan Sibonga, Emily Lowry, Braun Lowry, Christopher and Casey Van Horn. Viewing will be at 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2008, with rosary at 7:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home. Mass services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 10508 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA, beginning with rosary at 10:15 AM, mass service at 11:00 AM. Reception will be at the church after the service. Departure to gravesite service at 1:15 PM. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home, 584-0252.
