Carroll (Athow) Whitcombe Hash, descendant of the Pioneer Byrd family of Fern Hill died Monday, February 28, 2005.She was born in Tacoma on January 7, 1917, to Floyd and Gertrude (Benjamin) Athow.Predeceased by her parents; first husband, Clifford Whitcombe; son Donald Whitcombe; second husband, Raymond Hash, sister Miriam, and brother Adelbert.Carroll was a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, and the Puyallup Valley Sewing Club.Survived by daughter, Ginger Amburgy; son, Eugene Whitcombe; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Floyd and Robert Athow.Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2005 in the Mt. View Celebration of Life Center. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
