Carrie B. Pulliam's Obituary
Carrie B. Pulliam (Tyson) was born on September 24, 1933 in Barth, Florida to Lillie and Robert Tyson, the second of nine children. After raising her 4 children, she began her career as the owner/operator of Lakewood Beauty Supply in 1978. She also was a florist with Lakewood Florists beginning in 1987. She fully retired in 2002. Following her retirement, she was involved in her church at Pioneer Valley Baptist. In the summer of 1958, Carrie married Robert Pulliam in Portland, Oregon, eventually settling in Lakewood, WA in 1965. Carrie was a member of Trinity Baptist and Pioneer Valley churches. She lived to serve her Lord. She made many friends during her church memberships, however she developed a special friendship with Barbara Howe, Debbie Murff, Dorothy Madison and Lee Blackstock. A loving and generous woman, serving the Lord was the most important part of her life. In her free time she loved to read and crochet. Carrie was also a talented cook and loved to share her talents with everyone.
Carrie is preceded in passing by her husband Bob, her children Ann and Robert, survived by her daughter Fannie Minix, son Mical, sister Catheryne Harris, grandson Antonyo, granddaughter Arianna, and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral service for Carrie will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home.
