I send prayers and comfort to Carolyn's family. I have fond memories of my friendship with Carolyn. We had lots of disagreements but remained friends through it. She was a dear friend that I will miss. I will miss our "disagreements" and discussions. It is nice to be able to have a friend you can do that with. She was an amazing talented person whose art was so wonderful to enjoy. She is at peace and painless at last. Love you dear! Miss our talks. God Bless you and your family!
Carolyn owned the gallery I was fortunate to join some years ago. What a talent she had, not only for art, photography, orginization and empowering and encouraging other artists. She was tireless, innovative and a dear friend. I am blessed to know her.
Classrooms next to each other at Cedar River, teaching 5th grade. Carolyn was always collaborative. Enjoyed visiting her art galary and many other memories over the years. Water color over my bed created by Carolyn - from the book Everybody Needs a Rock.

My memories of Carolyn are many. Collaboration with Carolyn and Cindy Bennison evolved into teaching our third, fourth, and fifth grade students integrated art. A special memory was listening to C D perform karaoke. She rocked it!
Our most exciting adventure was a trip to France. Oh the food, oh the history, oh how Carolyn loved the chocolate shop. Carolyn treasured her family and Chuck with all her heart and soul.

I shall always remember my friend Carolyn. We met in Jr.Hi., kept in touch & shared many things together for almost 60 years. We were on our reunion committee with so many other wonderful people from CPHS 1966; Carolyn was always known for her GREAT smile & positive personality. I, like so many others, enjoy her art & photos hanging on many walls in my home.
GOD REST YOUR SOUL, DEAREST FRIEND where you are able to move around w/out that back brace, and now with many people we have all known.
Much love to all your family & friends. Kristy Kernen, Lakewood
Carolyn was one of my longest, and dearest friends. We shared our love of Tacoma, music, education, dancing, and our love of travel and jewelry. She was an incredible lady, and a loyal friend. We didn't always agree on everything, but we honored the other and were friends that loved each other. She and Chuck welcomed us in their homes many times and we enjoyed those times. Special memories. She touched many lives and we are all richer for it. RIP
I was shocked and sad when I heard about Carolyn's passing. All of us in our groups of friends looked forward to getting together and catching up on Carolyn and Chuck's travel adventures and latest artistic pursuits, which she dearly loved and excelled at. You could always count on Carolyn to be there with a smile on her face, spreading her happiness around to everyone. We will miss her. Kathy Evans
