Carolyn J. Ahrens' Obituary
Carolyn June Ahrens was born in Tacoma, Washington at Tacoma General Hospital on June 29, 1946. Her parents were Donald and Barbra Ahrens. On March 17, 2014 Carolyn passed away at St. Anthony’s in Gig Harbor surrounded by many family members.
Carolyn was a graduate of Stadium High School (Class of 1964) and Bates Vocational Technical Business School. Carolyn then went on to work for the food industry for 7 years and also volunteered at Multicare for many years to come.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents. Her brothers in sisters are Tom and Lynne Ahrens, Terry and Lynell Ahrens, Tena Clay, Dorene and Dick Barwell, And Marilyn and Ray Wight. Carolyn is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a large family near and far.
She is remembered for her warm smile and kind heart. Always ready to help anyone in need even if she did not quite know how. She put other first and who made many caring friends along the way. She will be missed but the impact she made in our lives and hearts will live on with us forever.
A grave site memorial will be held at Mountain View Memorial at 12:30pm on Monday March 24, 2014. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at Cascade Park Vista 242 St Helens Ave. Tacoma, WA 98402 at 2Pm. In lieu of flowers or gifts you may make a donation to the American Diabetic Association in Carolyn’s name.
