Carole A. Wilson's Obituary
Carole Arlene Wilson, age 95, passed away on her own terms with her son and daughter at her side on Friday, July 5th, 2025. She has gone to the room Jesus has prepared for her.
She was born in Tacoma, Washington, the last of 5 children born into the Knesal family, just as the US stock market was crashing, October 29, 1929. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947 and until recently, met with fellow graduates annually.
Carole married Leslie Robert Wilson and together modeled an extemporary marriage. Dad preceded mom June 16, 1992.
She worked for Caddy and Cleveland Accounting and served her community leading Camp Fire and Cub Scout groups, earning the Golden Acorn recognition through the PTSA, helping numerous school levy efforts, serving on Lincoln High School scholarship committees, and volunteering at the Tacoma General Hospital and Group Health. She greatly enjoyed relaxing at her Summit Lake cabin and following her favorite local sports teams. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and more recently The Bridge Church.
She is survived by son Steven Lee Wilson (Raelene) of Federal Way; daughter Jania Panida (Gene) of Bonney Lake; grandchildren Chad Hauge (Jennifer), Leslie Wernert (Matt), and Jill Dornan (Matt), and Kristen Rocky (Pete), Travis Wilson (Patricia) and Derek Wilson; great-grandchildren Oliver Hauge, Lucas and Issac Wernert, Hudson Dornan and Steven, Merrick and Malloy Rocky, Kaitlynn and Taylor Knocke, and Harper Wren Wilson.
A funeral service will be held at the Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery (Tacoma) on Tuesday July 29th at 1:00. The service will begin in the Garden Chapel with a graveside service to follow. Memorials may be made to the Tacoma Rescue Mission, Goodwill, the Tacoma Humane Society, and The Bridge Church Tacoma.
