Carole Louise Neal's Obituary
Carole Louise (White) Neal, 82 of Orting, Washington passed away on August 3, 2023 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
Carole was born on April 8th, 1941 in Bremerton WA to Vernice Ivalee (Bryson) White and Wilbur Orville White. Carole grew up in Bremerton and then moved to Seattle after high school to work for the Telephone Company. She married Dwayne in 1966 and they made their home in Orange County California. Carole loved being a mother to Kristen (1966) Jason (1970) and Joshua (1979). They move back to the Seattle/Tacoma area where they felt called to the mission field and joined Wycliffe Bible Translators where Dwayne was a Bush Pilot along the Amazon in Brazil. Carole, who often fondly recalled her time in "Jungle Camp Training," spent her life devoted to her family and her faith. She and her husband, Dwayne Neal, returned to the States in 1978 to serve as pastors in Sequim and Chewelah. They later had the chance to spend two years in Brazil before dedicating 22 years to ministry in Milton, WA. Three years ago, they moved to Orting, WA.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Dwayne, and their children: Kristen Yake (husband Corey), Jason Neal (wife Shannon), and Joshua Neal (wife Carmen). She is also survived by her eight cherished grandchildren: Nathaniel Yake, Elizabeth (husband Makia), Rachel (husband Dakota), Jacob (wife Miranda), Lane (wife Ashiah), Natalie Neal, Trenton Neal, and Andrew Neal. Carole's four great-grandchildren, Phoenix Louise Nelson, Jericho, Ezekiel, and Willow Neal, and her siblings: Orville White (wife Linda), Edward White (wife Joan), and Lynda (Penny) Hughes will be part of her lasting legacy. Her sisters-in-law, whom she loved like sisters, Melba Albert (husband Al), Peggy Lunde (husband David), Leanna Hilliard (husband Phil), and Geneva Peretti (husband Bob), along with many nieces and nephews, will remember her fondly.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Vernice Bryson and Wilbur White; her in-laws, Anna and Clarence Neal; her sister, Elsie Alexander; her sister-in-law, Ruth McMillan; and her brother-in-law, Bill Hughes. She also mourned her nephews, Jeff Alexander, Bob Chute, and Isaiah Lunde.
Known for her love, unconditional acceptance, wise counsel, and heart for the broken and hurting, Carole served in ministry with her husband for over 50 years. She had a laughter-filled, spunky side that brought joy to those around her. In her final days, she expressed her anticipation of seeing Jesus, her mother, and her sister Elsie.
