Carole A. Kostelecky was born in Bakersfield, CA on October 17, 1950 to Billy & Bonnie Cox. She went home to be with Jesus, at the age of 74, on July 7, 2025 in Puyallup, WA.
Carole is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Cox. She is survived by husband, Wayne. Her two children, Teri Walrath (Tom) and Scott. She has 5 grandchildren; Tyler, Travis, Tracey, Mikayla, Noah and 5 great-grandchildren; Roman, Kashtyn, Beau, Lucy and Oliver. Her brothers Rocky, Mark & Gary, nieces and nephews and extended family members. We cannot forget her best little companion, her Havanese, Ziva.
During her childhood, she got to travel around Europe, as her Dad was in the Air Force and was stationed in England. Her favorite place that they lived was in Fairbanks, AK. She shared many stories with her family about her memories there. The family ended up at McChord AFB and she graduated from Lincoln High School. Shortly after graduation she met the love of her life, Wayne. They lived together in Tacoma for 54 years. She never lost her love of travel and adventure.
Her hobbies consisted of crocheting, reading, tole painting, camping, Jeep racing, cooking, spending winters in Temecula, CA and enjoying time with her family, whom she loved unconditionally.
Most important to Carole was her faith. She was devoted to reading her Bible and learning scripture. This was a connecting point for her and Teri and gives her family so much peace knowing that she is healthy and with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
