Carol Ann Splaine's Obituary
Carol Ann Splaine was born on December 30, 1953, to Ed and Dorothy Piccolotto in Tacoma Washington. She graduated from Rogers High School where she contributed to school spirit as a Varsity Cheerleader. Following High School she went into a retail career at the Bon Marche. Later in life Carol formed her own company and was a Key Account Representative for Office Star furniture. She was very proud of her success growing the Office Star business at Costco.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jim, her son Jimmy (Marie) daughter Jessica Canfield (Seth), and 3 cherished grandchildren Carson, Ellie, and Allison, Sister Linda Mitchell (Steve), brother Dennis (Nancy) niece Keri, nephews Todd and Denny, her mother Dorothy, and favorite aunt Janet Sullivan.
Carol enjoyed her rich Italian heritage, the family gatherings the food and especially the garlic. The whole family enjoyed her cooking always looking forward to her signature "Ham Hocks and Beans" and her amazing "Snickerdoodles". Carol loved a good crab feed with lots of butter and garlic bread.
She loved her home, and the flowers she planted in the spring but most of all she enjoyed her family, she was so proud of them all.
Carol courageously met the challenges of her illness with grace and inspiration. Never complaining she carried on, always a pillar of strength for her family. She went to be with the Lord June 30 with her family at her bedside. Now Carol will walk new places, see wondrous sights and live joyfully in Gods holy presence.
Special thanks to Dawn in the Palliative Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital for her compassion, understanding and love during the last few days of Carol's illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Trinity Church in Tacoma.
