Carol Louise Smith's Obituary
Carol Louise Smith (nee Parks) of Puyallup, WA, passed through the veil on May 13, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior, she was 94 years young.
Carol was born April 17, 1930, in San Diego, CA to Harold R. Parks and Olive E. Parks. When Carol was an infant, the family moved to Puyallup, WA. Her parents, she and several of her siblings, helped build a homestead on South Hill (Puyallup), where they all lived. She attended Woodland Elementary and Puyallup High School where she graduated in 1949.
Even though she was raised in Washington State, she always considered herself a ‘native Californian’ and after meeting and marrying Levi Berle Smith, Carol got to go back to her ‘native’ state of California, where the family lived for many years before returning to Washington.
Carol will be remembered for her love of the Lord, her family and gardening, all were passions in her earthly life. We were so blessed to have her with us for so long.
Carol is predeceased by her husband, Levi Berle Smith, parents, Harold and Olive Parks, brothers Orin, Harold, Peter and Dale Parks, sisters Jean Passmore, Olive McDonough, Joan Vosler. She is survived by her baby sister Karen Day; her six children, Cheri Laffoon (Steve), Berle Smith (Ruth Ann), Holly Gilbert (Jeff), Terri Colpitts, Connie Thackston (Randy), Heidi Anderson (David); 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
