Carol Lorraine Hardy's Obituary
Carol Lorraine Hardy (Age 63) Passed into the arms of Jesus on May 17, 2009. Carol, loving wife of Gerald (Jerry) Wilbur Hardy for 42 years, was a resident of Fircrest, WA since l971. She is preceded in death by her parents (2008), Homer and Alice Fritsch of Spokane, and survived by husband Jerry, daughter Kari Ann Seagraves of University Place, brothers Bill (wife Ruth) Fritsch of Nashville, TN, Jerry (wife Phyllis) Fritsch of Houston, TX, and sister Jan Walker of Oakland, CA, aunt Marie Rozell of Lewistown, MT, uncle Lloyd Rasmussen of Spokane, many cousins, nieces, nephews, former students, friends and neighbors. Carol was born in Spokane, WA on July 3, 1945, graduated from Mead High School (1963 class salutatorian), earned a B.A. from Whitworth College, and married in 1967 after which she relocated to Tacoma with her husband to launch their professional careers. Carol had a passion for teaching, primarily second grade, and for 22 years welcomed students into her classroom in Tacoma schools Delong, Oakland, and Fawcett. She later home schooled her daughter, assisted in her husband's CPA firm and Davenport, WA wheat farm, and was a substitute organist for the Mountain View Funeral Home where she could play the old hymns of the church which she so dearly loved. Carol was an accomplished musician, played piano and organ at several churches, and was a member of Faith Assembly of Lacey. She was an avid student of God's word, supported various ministries, and reached out to others with intercessory prayer and her greeting card ministry. Carol will be remembered for her love of the Lord, her teaching skills, luscious cooking, and tender caretaking of her late parents. A memorial celebration is scheduled for May 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Celebration of Life Building, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, SW, Lakewood, WA.
