Carol Lord's Obituary
Carol Lord, recently minted octogenarian, passed away on September 25th, 2021, seven years after the passing of her husband and lifelong best friend, Dave. Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie, great auntie, boss, colleague and cat lover, in short - matriarch supreme - she leaves behind multiple generations of family, friends and felines who can all attest to her unfailing generosity, acerbic wit, and one-of-a-kind personality. You'd be tempted to say, "They broke the mold when they made Carol" but it's perhaps more accurate to say that she broke the mold herself, determined to pave a singularly unique path through life. Carol founded Summit View Accounting in 1976, which has consistently empowered women over its four and a half decades of successful service. Outside of the office, she roamed beaches and deserts, soaked in hot tubs and hot springs, prowled parking lots for the elusive perfect space and stores for the perfect gift, all while remaining true to herself - stubborn, unapologetic, and razor sharp - right through to the end. She will be missed.
