Carol Louise Fenton
Carol L. Fenton, 69, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born October 8, 1940, an only child, in San Bernardino, California, to James Montgomery and Leatha Louise (Berry) Holloway. Carol married Grahame J. Fenton, the love of her life, in San Bernardino, California June 16, 1961. They traveled the rodeo circuit until 1963, and farmed and ranched until 1972. Carol worked for the Pierce County Auditor's office for 30 years assisting couples acquiring their marriage license. The family and friends will miss Carol's beautiful infectious smile and her great organizational skills. Since Carol's retirement she has been extremely busy with Oakbrook Golf, where she was 2008 President of the Ladies 9-Holers, enjoyed her monthly Bunco group of friends, and especially her County Retiree's luncheons with her long-time friends. Carol and Grahame have also enjoyed their new 5th-Wheel and pickup and have enjoyed many trips throughout many countries. Carol is survived by her devoted husband, Grahame J. Fenton, their two sons, James (Jim) Fenton and Lance (Joni), grandson Randy, and the apple of her eye, granddaughter Candice Lynn Fenton. A celebration of her life will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at the Life Center Church in Tacoma, with Pastor Dean Curry officiating. Following the service a reception will be held at the Oakbrook Golf and Country Club from 3 - 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be sent to either of the following: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
