What a beautiful and full life story she lived! I only have a few memories of Carol, visiting the elementary school that Cyndi and I attended together. Nevertheless, I remember her presence was outstanding, even through twelve year old eyes. She was stately, and dignified, well dressed and strikingly pretty. Most of all, I remember that her smile was warm and kind; a smile I quickly recognized in her recently posted photos. As I thought of her, I wondered, "how is it I remember this clearly someone I saw occasionally 46 (or more) years ago"? And what comes to mind is how true is this quote from Maya Angelou... "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel". I imagine Carol was one of those people, who made a difference in other's lives wherever she went, perhaps without even realizing it. It's easy to see the exceptional connection she had with Frank and Cyndi, and my heart goes out to them for their great loss, and to Lisa, Tiffany, and all of her loved ones as well.
