Carmelita “Carmen” Yuzon Baluyot
June 25th, 1952 – August 31st, 2021
On August 31st, 2021, Carmelita Yuzon Baluyot went to the arms of our lord Jesus Christ. She leaves behind Ben, her loving husband of 48 years and is a proud mother of her 3 sons, Ben, Ron, and Brian. Her loss leaves a huge void for her entire family and friends. Carmen was loved by so many from all parts of the world. She always carried her heart on her shoulders. Always helping others before herself. Carmen was sincere, kind-hearted, and a gentle soul.
Carmen was born to Rustico Yuzon and Malaya Joson on June 25th, 1952, in Calibungan, Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines. 1 of 6 siblings, Carmen was raised in Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines before moving to Angeles City to attend school. There she met her loving husband Bienvenido Joves Baluyot who was enlisted in the United States Air Force and married on August 26th, 1973.
Carmen worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange. Her previous work locations includes; Okinawa and Yokota Air Base in Japan; Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska and Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state before retiring after 33 years.
Carmen enjoyed baking and cooking, spending time in her garden, taking care of her dogs (Ziva, Skipper and Snoopy), playing the card game, In-Between, with family and friends, but most of all, spending time with her husband and sons. Her memory and spirit will forever be in our hearts.
Carmen was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ben R. Baluyot, Sr. mother-in-law, Regina J. Baluyot, and brothers-in-law, Ed J. Baluyot, and Brian Hellings.
She is survived by her husband, Bienvenido J. Baluyot, Jr. AKA Ben Baluyot (Lakewood, WA), sons; Ben Yuzon Baluyot III, Ronald Jason Baluyot, Brian Edward Baluyot, as well as sisters; Emy Vargas (Toronto, Canada), Benita Garcia (Angeles City, Philippines), Letty Remley (Oregon City, Oregon), Cora Hellings (Lacey, Washington), Tersie Yuzon (Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines), Marivic Yuzon (Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines), and brothers; Noel Yuzon, Dante Yuzon, Armando Yuzon (Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines), Alevic Vargas (Toronto, Canada). She is survived also by nephews; Mike Baluyot (Puyallup, WA), Captain Matthew Remley (Camp Zama, Japan), Nathan Yuzon (Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines), nieces; Amy Baluyot (Puyallup, WA), Chrystina Remley (Camp Zama, Japan), granddaughters; Maricar Yuzon (Riyad, Saudi Arabia), and Claire Grace Remley (Camp Zama, Japan), and grandsons; Jayvee Yuzon (Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines) and Noah Brian Remley (Camp Zama, Japan).
