Toni Styles
Carly you and I started a career with DCYF in Tacoma. From there our friendship remained. I shared my cancer journey with after training and we went to separate offices then a year later bumped into each other by Chance. From that day until close to the end we shared our cancer stories, both our faiths and fears of surgeries, meds, trials and errors.
We talked about depression you battled and the cancer walk were going to do in June but then my mom passed, so we started planning for next year 2025. Out last conversation not knowing it would be our last in July I could hear the tone in your voice and you didn’t want me to worry. I sent countless text to you but didn’t get a response from since July
Last week December 11th 2024 I sent an email your work email and when it came back I knew something was wrong. I reached out to a trusted person that told me you passed away. It broke my heart and I had to let the tears go in that moment. I am so sorry and I wish I just had one more time to hear your voice and see your smile.
Thank you for the years of friendship, thank you for all the talks, you will forever hold a space in my heart and I send prayers to your family.
