Carlos A. Ramos' Obituary
On Wednesday, Aug 4th, 2021 the Ramos/Blowers family lost their hero. Carlos A. Ramos succumbed to illness after a long and well fought battle. It's no surprise he was fighting until his last day when he passed peacefully with family at his side.
He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico and grew up in Cayey, a proud Cayeyano. Originally named Calixto, Carlos passed in Dupont where he and his wife Hannelore had relocated, from their home of over 40 years in Spanaway. Carlos spent over three decades in the military and ended his career as a Command Sergeant Major. He then took on a new career with humble beginnings as a school janitor. Within a few years, he was the Head of Custodial Services for the Bethel school district.
With an infectious love of music, dance, and laughter Carlos found great joy in making others smile. Never too proud to make a fool of himself for a laugh, he was quick to crack Dad jokes or dance with his cane. Carlos enjoyed working with his hands; tending to his roses and building bird houses or wooden animals for his grandkids. He was at his happiest when family was gathered around him.
Carlos is survived by his wife Hannelore, Sons: Carlos Jr., Mike, Bill. Daughters: Debbie, Alma, Norma, Joann, Tammy, Cheri, Kathy. Further survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Anyone who wishes to honor Carlos is encouraged to make a donation in his name to Wounded Warrior Project or the ASPCA.
