Carlos Felix Escalfullery's Obituary
Carlos Felix Escalfullery
March 23rd, 1973 – October 26th, 2015
Carlos was born March 23rd, 1973, in Fort Lewis, Washington to Francisco and Renate. Carlos spent his childhood in Parkland, Washington with his parents, stepfather, Oma (grandmother), and brothers and sisters. He graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in 1994. During school and after his graduation Carlos was involved with many organizations and activities such as the Pierce County Parks and Recreation, Special Olympics, Mainstay and Full Life. Through these groups Carlos made many friends that he cherished. These friends made a significant impact upon Carlos and his family’s lives.
Upon the passing of his mother, Carlos went on to live with his sister Susi and her family. Carlos cherished his time living with Susi, Tim, Jordan and Noa, and their dogs. Carlos loved all of his dogs, meaning any dog he came across. After Susi’s illness, Carlos moved in with his Sister Andrea, Charles, Tatiana, Alayna and Myah. Of course, their dogs and guinea pigs became his own.
Carlos spent much of his time with his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, and his caregiver Amy. Carlos also had a special relationship with his pastor and family friend, Perry Fields. Carlos cherished the memories of his time spent with his special friends Karen and Gem.
Carlos was preceded in death by his mother; Renate, his sisters; Vivian and Susi, his grandparents; Margaret and Paul, and his niece; Shannon.
Carlos leaves those to celebrate his memory; his siblings and their spouses; Roger and Marion, Tony and Karen, Andrea and Charles, Kassandra, Francisco, stepfather; Juan, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family, including his church family, and many special friends. Carlos taught those who knew him the true meaning of unconditional love and how to live life, regardless of the situation. He will be dearly missed by all those who came to know him.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, November 7 at Bethany Church of Holiness, 2417 So. King Street, Seattle, WA 98108 followed by a reception at Holly Park Community Church, 4308 Othello St. Seattle, WA 98118.
