Carlos Raul Diaz's Obituary
Carlos Raul Diaz, age 69, of Spanaway, WA, passed away on December 30, 2014. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, he immigrated to the United States and has called the Puget Sound home for over 30 years. He was a retired Western State Hospital Truck Driver and proud Army veteran. He brought laughs, positive attitude and passionate opinions to every situation he found himself in and with every person he met by always placing others before himself. He touched countless lives through his outgoing personality and generosity and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, son, two daughters, three grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. He is preceded and joined in Heaven by his father, mother and brother.
A Catholic service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home’s Aspen Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, Lakewood, WA 98499, on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
Viewing will be take place before the service from 12:00 PM- 4:00 PM with a celebration of his life and love from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Guests are asked to honor his vibrant personality by wearing his signature color red or their favorite bright attire. Guest are also encouraged to bring their favorite foods for the reception.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS DONATIONS can be made in his honor to JBLM Fisher House, a home away from home for families of Madigan Army Hospital patients, 9999 Wilson Ave., Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA 98433.
