Carleen J. Adams' Obituary
Carleen Adams, age 74, passed away peacefully on March 9th in Tacoma, WA, surrounded by her loving children and their families. She was born on July 7th, 1950 in Tacoma, WA. Carleen lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Carleen was best known for her “infectious smile” and “quick wit.” She had a passion for gardening and journaling. Carleen also had favorite recipes she liked to make, some of which her mom made when she was little. Carleen liked “crafting” with her daughters and attending local bizarres. She loved spending time with family at the beach and celebrating holidays with extended family. She enjoyed spending quiet evenings at home, watching reruns of “I Love Lucy” and old Elvis movies and movies in general while spoiling and cuddling with her pets.
Carleen, a lifelong learner, graduated from local colleges and studied various areas of healthcare. She built a successful career as a health unit coordinator at Multicare, where she made many lasting friendships. Carleen always looked forward to spending time with her many friends, catching up over lunch or coffee, and just laughing.
Above all, Carleen cherished her family. She is survived by: children, Scott (Stephanie), Beth (Jeremy), and Lori (Chris); grandchildren, Madisen, Chase, Grady, Hunter, Ryder, Mason, Emma, and Aimee; brother Ronald; and her sweet kitty Penny, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
The family is holding a small graveside service and a celebration of life gathering in July around her birthday.
