Carla C. Hergert's Obituary
Carla Hergert, 78, born April 8th, 1934 in Olympia, Washington, passed away in Tacoma, after a very long, lingering illness, on June 28th, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jacob Hergert, who cared for her faithfully since the onset of her illness. She leaves a son Eric, a daughter Lynell, and her husband, Eugenio, three grandsons, Jason, Raymond, and Nikolaus, and a great-grandson, Desztin. She has a sister, Dorothy, and a brother, Carl.
After completing an LPN program, Carla worked for several years at St. Joseph Hospital.
Her hobbies included camping, hunting, fishing, and yearly trips to Hawaii. Carla was a talented cook, baker, seamstress, crafter, and gardener, especially orchids, grown in a greenhouse Jacob built for her.
Carla was a loving and devoted wife and mother, an amazing grandparent, and a tremendous friend, and lover of all children and animals.
A celebration of Carla's life, will be held in the Garden Chapel, at Mountain View Funeral Home, in Lakewood, WA, on July 6th, 2012, at 2:00 PM; reception to follow.
Carla Hergert, was loved by many, and will truly be missed.
