Carl E. Petree's Obituary
Carl Edward (Pete) Petree went home to be with The Lord on July 4, 2014.
He was born in Kenwood, Oklahoma to Henry and Mabel Petree on June 8, 1934. Raised in Kingsburg California where he joined the US Navy at the age of 18. Pete was very proud of his time spent serving his country. Pete met and married the love of his life Nancy Petree on July 1, 1955. They were happily married for 55 years while raising their family in their home of University Place.
Pete spent time out of the military doing construction working within the Laborers Union. His strong work ethic was the core driver throughout his family values. Pete's love for his family, friends and his music were some of the best things in his life. A memory for writing music and him being on his guitar will be a memory remembered by all! He also loved camping, fishing, wood working, antiques and the love of the game! Loyalty to the Seahawks and the Mariners! Pete was a member of the Tacoma Eagles Aerie 3. This is where he met his second love Marjorie. They enjoyed their resident Hummingbirds and sharing their many travels together.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Petree, his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Pete is survived by his sons Larry (Linda) and Joe (Joann), five wonderful grandchildren, Shannon, Michael, Westin, Jessica and Clinton. Two great grandsons, Jackson and Isaac and one great granddaughter who is on her way! Pete is also survived by his wife Marjorie, his brother Glenn and extended family, Debbie Kidd, Kim (Steve) Coxen, Lorna Duncan, Christopher Harper, James Harper,
11 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Along with many other loving family and friends.
His Smile, Laughter and Love will never be forgotten. You will forever be with us in Spirit and in our Hearts. We love you!
