Carl "Frank" Foster
Frank was born on July 23, 1919 in Silverstar, Montana and passed away on February 24, 2010 in Gig Harbor. He graduated from Business College and went on to serve in the Marine Corps during World War II. Frank and Juanita moved to the Puget Sound area in the mid 1940s. Frank worked as office manager for Firestone, vice-president for Love Electric Co., and comptroller for American Plumbing & Steam Supply. After retirement, he went back to work part-time as credit manager for Architectural Woods, Inc. until the age of 78. For years, Frank was accountant for friend, Dale Schubert's International Design Corp. He served as senior accountant for United Lamp Supply for 40 years. Frank is preceded in death by wife, Juanita; sons, Carl Jr. and David. Frank is survived by daughters Nancy (David) DeChant, Diana; grandchildren Larry (Tina) DeChant, Danielle (Craig) Milton, Ann (Peter) Bruennig, Meresa DeMaio, Karli Foster, Haley Foster, Keith Hoffman, Tauni Aul and seven great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church (602 N. Orchard, Tacoma). In lieu of flowers, donations made to First Christian Church New Bldg. Fund or charity of choice.
