Carl Christensen's Obituary
Carl A. Christensen Carl A. Christensen was born January 9th, 1931 in Tacoma, WA. He graduated from Lincoln HS and attended Puget Sound College before joining the Army. After serving in the Korean War, he returned to the DC area and began a career with the National Security Agency. He and his wife of 57 years, Winnie (Wilson) Christensen, raised 5 children in the DC area and in Europe before "retiring" back to Tacoma in 1979. Carl worked another 20 years as a realtor for Better Homes & Gardens and Coldwell Banker. He enjoyed ball games, fishing, reading, and singing in the choir. Carl is survived by Winnie, his daughters Faith (McInnis), Brenda (Batres), Martha (Rest), Karen, and son Eric. Also, he dearly loved his grandchildren; April, Austin, Brittney, Stephanie, Stacie, Ethan, Tracy, Kevin, Katie and 5 great-grandchildren. Carl's memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Bridgeport Way in Lakewood on Saturday, October 29th at 2pm.
