Carl Bracale, Jr., a Gig Harbor resident and former Alaskan, died July 14, 2006 at the age of 75 surrounded by loved ones in Anchorage, Alaska, after enduring a lengthy, courageous, battle with cancer.Born in Pennsylvania on July 19, 1930 to Carl & Angela Bracale, he lived in New York City, Los Angeles and Anchorage before moving to Gig Harbor in 1989. He owned and operated Carl Bracale Real Estate Co., Inc., never having retired. Carl had many interests and hobbies to include gold mining, skiing, windsurfing, travel and he loved to dance!He is survived by his wife Cheri of 29 years, two sons Glenn (Teresa) Bracale, Dennis (Linda) Trumble; daughter Tracy (Val) Schuler, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, his brother John (Maggie) Bracale, sister Toni (Mike Muleneaux) Spalding, his mother-in-law Merna West, Cheri's 5 siblings and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews - all of whom he loved greatly. His eldest grandson, Shannon, preceded Carl in death.Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Mountain View Memorial Park in Tacoma, WA, followed by a celebration of his life at the home of Rick and Tina Kiehn.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, P.O.
