Love and healing prayers to Candace's family during this difficult time.
we will miss her more than words can express
Candace was a gift to everyone who had the opportunity to get to know her and work with her and most of all if you became friends. She was always cheerful, helpful, willing to help anyone at any time, giving, selfless and a true gift from God to all of us who knew her. She came to mind strongly about the date she passed on, and I am blessed to have had a glimpse on her way to join her Savior to continue her good works. We initially met when we both worked at McNeil Island Prison in the late 90's while I was working on my BSN at Tacoma UW Branch. She worked on the Psych ward I was in General Ward however we became fast friends on our boat rides over and back each day and our love of food and eating out. Have shared many wonderful meals at various restaurants with Candace and Candace and Mike and occasionally her boys, and was privileged to meet her grown children and Grandchildren on many occasions at her beautiful Fourth of July Picnics and parties. She was a consummate hostess with a beautiful yard full of beautiful flowers and always a new one to see and appreciate. She is one of a kind and can never be replaced, and I feel very privileged that I had the chance to get to know her and call her friend for many years. I had always hoped she could come down here to Arizona where I retired to in 2012, however she continued to work and couldn't take the time or the heat, however winter here would have been perfect. My condolences to each one in the family who will miss her in their own way and will go through the grieving journey having each other to share with and lean on. Thank you Michael for calling me on the phone to let me know she had passed, My heart is with you this Saturday at her service there. All my love and wishes for each one of the family that your grieving is healing in the end. She is now smiling and walking and enjoying every day with her gardening and flowers with her friends and family that have gone ahead with whom she is now sharing her days. All My Love, Velda Miller
Candace was a Pierce County Master Gardner; for many years she planned and organized all of the Saturday Talks at the Puyallup Demonstration Garden for the public. She also staffed the Master Gardener clinic at the Demo Garden and at the Plant Sale every year. She was a very knowledgeable plants person and could identify almost any plant you showed her. She was always gracious and kindly. She will be missed greatly.
Candace and I worked together for many years. Candace was a kind and giving friend and coworker. She had an outstanding knowledge of plants, flowers and stones and we discussed these frequently.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Candace spoke about her loving family frequently.
My thoughts are with you.
