Cameron Gerald Lines' Obituary
On Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020, Cameron Lines, an incredible husband to Allison and father of two beautiful children Riley (age 3) and Tyler (age 1), passed away due to a motorcycle accident at the age of only 30. It’s been nearly impossible to figure out how to capture Cameron’s life in a few short paragraphs, but here we go…
Cam was born in Tacoma, Washington on September 18th, 1990. He was “the perfect baby” and truly grew up to be the perfect man. He was the third sibling of four. He leaves behind his brothers Chad and Jared and his sister DanieKay. Growing up, the siblings had a typical sibling relationship. There was arguing and teasing, but most of all there was love and memories that were being made. Cam was the “police officer” of the family, and he was very proud of himself for keeping everyone in line. From making their own go-karts, going on family road trips, these four may not have known it then, but they would grow up to be some of the best friends each other could ask for.
After his parents divorced, he then soon gained four new siblings, Van, Adam, Jasmin, and Megan. Cam had a good relationship these four new family members. They bonded over trips to Six Flags, his alter ego Steven, and their Cut-Throat Uno competitions. He has been blessed by all the family that has contributed into making him the man he was.
When he was a senior at Stadium High School (2009), he met Allison Smith. It only seemed suitable that the two of them would meet in a castle, because what they had was a fairy tale love. The way these two communicated with one another was what some couples longed for. Someone at their wedding stated “50% of marriages end in divorce, these two are the ones who are going to make it.” When you thought Cameron, you thought Alli. It just was meant to be. The two dated for three and a half years before Cam finally popped the question on Mount Rainier. They then enjoyed their engagement for two years and a half years and were joined together in marriage on December 6, 2014. He was an amazing uncle and that transferred over to becoming an exceptional father. They were blessed with two amazing children. Their daughter Riley was born December 2016 and their son Tyler, October 2019. He was the best daddy those kids could have asked for. He made up silly voices when playing dolls with Riley and bounced Tyler up and down until he laughed. Cameron got in his accident on Tyler’s first birthday.
He sadly also leaves behind his mother Danielle, step father Kurtis, father Lenes, and step mother Keri. All of these parents mourn the loss of their boy but live in hope and love knowing he is the guardian angel of this family. Cameron is up in heaven looking down on his seven siblings, fifteen nieces and nephews, four parents, his beautiful wife, and two amazing children. The family truly believes that even though they are broken and sad down on earth, they know that Cam is happy and excited to do all he can do in heaven. When they feel distraught, they know they can pray to Cam for comfort and he will answer.
Cameron was “that guy”... the guy who posted dad jokes on the regular, and you noticed when he didn’t. The guy who will played round after round of Pretty, Pretty Princess with his daughter and didn’t destroy the photo evidence. The guy who tickled his son with his beard hair until they were both in a giggling fit. He was the guy who found the love of his life in high school and never let go of her, because he knew she was the best thing that ever happened to him. The guy who pretend to be a dolphin just to make his sister laugh when she was crying. He was that guy who worked a double shift and then drove 45 minutes to see his reunited siblings for an hour. He was the guy who taught his children to play Uno as soon as they could hold cards. The guy who always had a dozen dad jokes and memes at the ready for any situation.
Cameron was one of the best of us. He was an attentive father, changing diapers and doing bath time with a smile and a joke. He was romantic in his marriage, always trying to find ways to make his wife feel like a queen and know that she is treasured and loved. He was a talented photographer, and a dedicated provider for his family. He was the best.
