Cameron Bruce Miner's Obituary
We have lost our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and brother, Cameron Bruce Miner. Thank God he led an active and healthy life for all of his 83 years. Just out of high school he helped build boats near Bremerton and went on to become a naval architect and marine engineer.After enlisting in the United States Navy pilot training, he earned his wings. He flew torpedo bombers and several other aircraft, later retiring as a Lieutenant Commander.He served on our water company board and did 20 plus years with the Midland Volunteer Fire Department.He and son, Steve enjoyed being skippers on the Sea Scout Ship, Â"Odyssey,Â" a 90 foot sailboat in Tacoma. We miss our strong, quiet, loving, generous man so very much. We will always love him and never forget his smile and his caring ways. He is survived by his wife, Joan of 57 years; sons, Mike and his wife Kasey; Steve and his wife Dierdre; daughters, Karen Armstrong and her husband Greg and their children, Ben and his wife Melissa, and their son, Eli; Sarah Amber, Jacob, Caleb, and Chris Coleman and her husband Scott and their children, Lanae and Marshall; and by his sisters, Rosemary Lemoine, Tony Lynn and Bev Schaffer.Memorial donations may be made in CameronÂ's name to your favorite charity.A memorial service will be Friday, November 21, 2003 at 11 A.M. at the Mt. View celebration of Life Center.
