Calvin Eugene Myers' Obituary
Calvin “Cal” E. Myers, 88, passed away May 28, 2013 in Tacoma, WA. He was born on August 9, 1924 in Mandan, North Dakota to Grover and Elizabeth Myers.
Following Cal’s discharge from the Army, he married Shirley L. Douglas on April 22, 1950 in Tacoma, WA. Cal worked as a dynamite packer at the Dupont Company for 30 years. Following his retirement from Dupont went on to work as a truck driver and mechanic for B-line and later for Ropak until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Shirley; daughters Judy Myers and Jan Kendall; brothers Robert, Jack and Irvin Myers; grandchildren Joanna Abel, Jeffrey Kendall, Tasha Ohm, Andre Ohm and Shawn and great-grandchildren Jarren Abel and Kailee Kendall.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Mountain View Funeral Home’s Garden Chapel.
