God, I miss you more than the world could ever know. Calvin, you meant so much to me (and still do!), and now you're not going to be here to see me graduate from high school, to walk me down the isle or to even see your grandchildren. It just hurts me so deep inside, like a brick has hit me in the face, over and over again. We are slowly trying to move on, but no matter what we do, the pain has settled inside of us and will never go away. (or so it seems!). I love you will all of my heart.

I waited until the crowd cleared. This is for the family. After the worst trip of my life I came back and just wanted to enjoy living again. A walk up the hill, my cat sitting on my lap, just anything normal. One final massage before getting back into the swing of things and in the moment that occurs between being asleep or awake there was Calvin, Christmas 1972. Looking right into my eyes, with a slice of pie and his ever-present carton of chocolate milk saying "It just doesn't get any better than this, man!" It was real. It was him. I was in his world and it is a wonderful place.
Thanks for again teaching me how to enjoy life's simple pleasures bro.
