Caden Lane Webb-Wright's Obituary
Caden Lane Webb-Wright, age 9, formally of Maryville, Tennessee, was granted his angel wings on January 6, 2015. His final moments were spent in the arms of his loving parents, surrounded by family and friends in Tacoma, Washington.
Caden’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His beautiful smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard.
Although Caden’s illness made him at times appear frail, he possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He could spend hours enjoying music and the gentle breezes of the outdoors! His favorite times were cuddling close to those he loved so much. He loved the color red and listening to the sounds of children and especially laughter, he enjoyed being talked to or listening to conversations around him.
With Caden’s passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his winning smile, he will forever remain in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents. We are so thankful Caden’s little brother Landon, met him and experienced Caden’s gentle spirit.
Caden leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced his life. Through their dedication, Caden was able to survive some of his toughest medical challenges. He will be dearly missed by all his special caregivers. All of these people, too numerous to mention, provided Caden with love and dignity in his life and also in his death.
Caden is survived by his loving parents, Lindsay and Andrew Wright and brother Landon Wright of Tacoma, Washington; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Sara Webb of Maryville, Tennessee; Paternal grandparents Michelle Knight of Snohomish, Washington and Dean Wright of Carson City, Nevada. Aunts & Uncles, Clint Brantley of Perry, Georgia; Ashley & Amberly Webb of Rockwood, Tennessee, Haley Wright of Pullman, Washington; and cousins Julie and Layke Brantley and Jace Webb.
A memorial service in celebration of Caden’s life will be held January 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church, Maryville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Caden’s memory may be made to a Children’s Hospital or charity of your choice.
