Burnell Cater's Obituary
Burnell Cater, age 86, passed peacefully at home on July 5th, 2021, after struggling with cancer for 15 years. Burnell was born August 22nd, 1934, in Midland Washington to Burnell and Ruth Cater. He lived his entire life in the Tacoma area as a candy maker for Brown and Haley, meat processor for Hygrade, and a master cabinet maker before perfecting the art of Roulette and RV traveling across the states in his retirement. Burnell will be remembered by all for being a patient, hardworking, kind-hearted man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 32 years, daughters Cindy Robison (Bruce) and Sherry Duncan. He was a proud Papa to Eric, Courtney, Elissa, Melanie, Megan, Kyle, Parker and Papa Nell to 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by stepchildren Margie Hoffman, Cleve Boyle (Pam), Dan Boyle (Jason) and Dick Boyle (Joni), 7 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. Burnell was preceded in death by his first wife Peggy of 31 years, and their daughter Karen, and son Terry.
