Brooks Huie's Obituary
Brooks Huie, a man whose joy illuminated every room he entered, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord on December 7, 2025. His zest for life was boundless, and his love for others was deep, thoughtful, and unwavering. Born November 3, 1969, in Seattle, Washington, Brooks lived his entire life with physical challenges and disabilities, yet he never allowed them to dim the extraordinary light within him.
To know Brooks was to experience a rare and contagious happiness—a childlike spirit that remained undimmed through every trial. Brooks had a remarkable memory and a generous heart. He noticed people, remembered their stories, and gave freely of his time, affection, and encouragement. His smile and laughter were gifts he shared without reservation. He found great delight in the simple joys that made his eyes sparkle: watching WWE with passionate enthusiasm, admiring cars, riding his bike whenever he could, taking photographs of the world around him, collecting and trading sports cards, and creating beautiful colored pictures that reflected his artistic soul. Through decades of medical struggles, Brooks faced suffering with a grace and resilience that inspired everyone privileged to walk beside him. His faith sustained him, and now that faith has become sight. He is well. He is whole. He is home.
Brooks leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unbreakable joy that will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Louise Huie; his brother, Bryson (Deanna) Huie; his nephew, Bryson (Lindsay) Huie and their children, Elijah and Jakolby; his niece, Kaylee (Ryan) Druffel and their children, Easton, Mickey, Camden, and Decker; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his father Dale Huie.
A celebration of Brooks’ life will be held Friday, December 19th, 2025, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Outdoors For All or your favorite charity. Brooks is finally at peace, running free, coloring masterpieces in heaven, and cheering on his favorite wrestlers from the best seat in the house. We will miss him deeply, but we rejoice knowing he is whole and forever joyful with his Savior.
