I always admired you for your bravery in trying new things and going far away from home to start your new life as an adult. Remembering Brooklyn... Where do I even begin? Her beauty was undeniable – the first thing that struck me when we met working as hostesses. But in that world, beauty is common. I quickly wondered if her inner self matched her outer radiance. It absolutely did.

From the moment we spoke, I was drawn to her. Her spirit was so delightful, calm, and humble. She felt safe, honest. I even jokingly asked her to marry me, not in a degrading way, but because I loved her spirit so much I never wanted to let it go.

Our friendship deepened outside of work. I discovered a fun, playful, even rockstar side to her that perfectly balanced her quiet nature. We shared some amazing times – bars, raves, surrounded by diverse faces and energies. The vibe was always top-notch with Brooklyn.

She was a truly trustworthy soul, someone you could confide in without hesitation. We shared secrets that I'm sure she took to her grave, and I'll take mine to mine. Brooklyn, you were beautiful inside and out, and I will miss you eternally. Every memory is a treasure.

To my Brook Brook, thinking about you brings back so many memories. I'll never forget being your mom's birthing coach when I was just 12 years old – who would've thought, right? And then, years later, you were right there in the room with me when I brought Ahlaiya into the world. You made me an auntie, and I'm so grateful for that.
