Bridgett "BJ" Joan's Obituary
Bridgett Joan Menza was born December 8, 1946 in Long Beach, California. She passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2007, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer and was surrounded by her husband, sister, and three sons. After graduating from Westchester H.S., CA in June, 1966 she joined the United States Army and served honorably for two years. She returned to Golden State College and received her nursing degree and in 1992 received her B.S. from Chaminade University of Honolulu, HI. During her life time Bridgett worked as a soldier, a nurse, a counselor, and a business owner. Her friends and family knew Bridgett as one of those rare people who was open, honest, always saw the best in people and helped them to find it. She is survived by Herman Menza her loving husband of 36 years and sons Sean (Roxanne), Clancey (Kapua), and Iolani (Lissa); Brooke Goodman; her very much loved grandchildren who knew her as "Tutu": Kawika, Kainoa, Makana, Ryan, Ke'ola, Keaka, Romeo and Kyler; sister: Trish Brannan and brother: Richard (Marty) Brannan.
