Brett Matthew Skube's Obituary
Brett Matthew Skube passed away on May 1, 2022 at his home in Chelan, WA. Brett was born on May 3, 1985 in Tacoma, WA. He grew up with his family in Edgewood, WA. He shared a love of his nickname, Skube, with his dad. Brett graduated from Fife High School in 2003. He attended Central WA University graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. His interest in construction developed working as a laborer during high school and college. He was fortunate to have mentors throughout his career as a Construction Project Manager/Estimator.
Brett was blessed to marry Janessa in September 2015 in Chelan, WA, a treasured family destination Brett’s entire life. Brett and Janessa moved to Chelan in late 2018. Brett will be remembered for caring deeply for his family and friends; his friendships throughout his life were always very important. His special interests included snowboarding, wakeboarding, boating, fishing, golf, bowling was a favorite for many years. Brett is survived by his spouse, Janessa Skube, Chelan, WA, his parents, Caren and Wayne Skube, Edgewood, WA, his sister, Kayla Skube, Edgewood, WA, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins; his family included a special love of his malamute companion, Illa, a constant by his side,
A public service is not being planned at this time. The family is supporting Brett’s passion for Illa suggesting donations to the Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League, WAMAL, a nonprofit protecting senior and rescued malamutes needing a loving home.
