Dear Reba, Sanna & Jared - I would so love to be with you today to say goodbye to Brent! I'll always treasure the years we sang together and shared family times, (even lutefisk!) And the continuing friendship through our back and forth greeting card for over 20 years meant so much to me! He was so proud of you all - his letters were full of his joy in your accomplishments.
He was a wonderful man, and I'm really going to miss him! My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you today and in the times to come.
With love -
Barbara Leone.
I remember jogging with him when I was little.
...and those who rejoice with us, but on a wider shore and in a greater life ....
Brent was a longtime, faithful volunteer at the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra, even after his disability progressed to the point where he had to give up singing in the Tacoma Symphony Chorus. He maintained our press files meticulously and because of him we have a complete, definitive record that I am continually referring to. Brent had still been volunteering in the office up until very recently. He remained mobile and alert and seemed determined not to let his disability stop him from getting out and doing the things that mattered to him. The Tacoma Symphony staff will miss him, and we send our best wishes to Reba and Brent's family.
He is a part of the first memory I have of Compline.
He will always be there in my minds eye
"Love is all you need."
