Brenda graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, class of 1974. She made many lifelong friends through middle school and high school. Brenda was known to many as a very active and fun person. Through much of her young adult life Brenda raised her sons Andre and Damien, always in the stands or on the sidelines with the loudest voice cheering them on during their athletic events. Brenda enjoyed her extended friendships also, being involved in both the VFW and local Eagles groups as often as possible.
Brenda worked in many environments, however, she spent many years in healthcare as an administrator. She enjoyed finding ways to help people through the work she did. Later in her working career Brenda worked as a security guard and thoroughly enjoyed working concerts of familiar artists at the Tacoma Dome and the St. Michelle Winery.
Brenda loved her dog Tia. Tia was her “little angel” and never left her side.
Brenda spent the past several years battling illness and facing it head on. Our Lord decided her battle was well fought and called her home.
A celebration of life will be held for all that knew Brenda. The location and date are TBD. Andre will update this obituary once the plans are finalized. In lieu of flowers, their will be an account set up through US Bank to help with end of life expenses, with any balance distributed to Brenda’s grandchildren.
