Bonita Fogerty's Obituary
BONITA FOGERTY
Bonita Marie Fogerty, born to Beatrice and R.W. (Sam) Wamberg on August 26, 1929, died on December 25, 2011. Bonnie graduated from Clover Park High School in 1946 and Washington State College in 1950. She went on to earn her teaching certificate at the University of Puget Sound. Prior to working as a teacher, Bonnie worked as an information specialist at Fort Lewis and in advertising in St. Paul, MN and San Francisco, CA. She began her teaching career at Maple Lawn Elementary in Sumner and retired after 23 years from Arlington Elementary School, her alma mater. Bonnie was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority while at Washington State and remained a lifelong Coug fan. Bonnie was preceded in death by her son Kevin, her brother Ron (Pauline), and her parents. She is survived by her sons Tim R. Fogerty (Sue) and Sam J. Fogerty (Dana), grandchildren Maggie, Colleen, and Erin, her brother Gary Wamberg (Carol), nieces Wendy Nelson and Leslie Hogstrom, and nephews Mike and Chris Wamberg. The family would like to express thanks to University Place Care Center for making Bonnie's last days peaceful and dignified. Bonnie will be buried at Mountain View Funeral Home. At Bonnie's request, there will be no funeral services.
