Bobbie Lewis' Obituary
Bobbie Lewis Bobbie Lewis, SSG US Army Retired entered God's presence on March 17, 2008 surrounded by his loving family at Franciscan Hospice House. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on January 6, 1932. Bobbie was a courageous soldier who fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars. After serving 20 years in the military, he worked as a ship builder at Tacoma Boat and Todd Shipyard, and retired after a long career as a welding instructor for a technical school. He was a proud and active member of the Masons until his illness made it difficult to continue. He is survived by his father Tom; brother and sisters, Geneva, Jerry (Jimmy Sr.), and Michael Sr.(LaKeisha); children Jennifer (Rick), Bob Jr. (Carmen), Kenji (Deceased), George, and Stephanie; five grandchildren, Roberto, Ashley, Leona, Cameron, and Jovan; five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Bobbie loved people and enjoyed helping others. He will be in our hearts, always. The family wishes to thank everyone for their compassion, phone calls, and prayers. A celebration of Bobbie's life will be held Monday, March 24th, 2 p.m. at the Aspen Chapel, Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood. Viewing on March 22nd 1- 9 p.m. and 1 p.m. March 24th. Remembrances may be made to the Franciscan Hospice House.
