Bob (Robert) Harmon's Obituary
Bob E. Harmon age 74 passed away August 6, 2018, at St Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, WA, with his family at his side. Bob was born March 8, 1944 in Albert Lea, MN. He moved to Parkland, WA, shortly after and spent most of his life there. He attended Franklin Pierce High School, graduating in 1962; he then graduated from Whitworth University with a Bachelor of Education degree in 1966. He lived in Waterville, WA, for a time, coaching and teaching.
Bob moved back to Parkland to help at Suburban Realty before his father Ernest Harmon passed away. He eventually became the Designated Broker and Owner of Suburban Realty before retiring in 2011. Bob was active in the Rotary Club of Parkland Spanaway, achieving 35 years of perfect attendance. He was also a member of the Tacoma Pierce County Realtors and Trinity Lutheran Church.
Bob Harmon was preceded in his death by his father, Ernest Harmon, and mother, Thora (Haugo) Larson. He is survived by his children, Kari Cornfield and Kirsten Harmon, and by his siblings Laurel Harmon and Daniel Harmon.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 12115 Park Ave South, in Parkland, WA, with a reception to follow at Trinity. Arrangements are being made by Mountain View Funeral Home. Bob will be laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, 13600 – 8th Avenue East, Parkland, WA.
