Blanche L. Carlson
Blanche was born in Staples, MN on May 7, 1916. She passed on January 2, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup from the flu and pneumonia. Raised in the Midwest and moved to Tacoma with her family at age 17, she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933. Blanche did secretarial work at Hooker Chemical and Mason Jr. High School. She was widowed in 1985, when her husband Bill Carlson passed. She loved to sew and knit, play games of all kinds, and spend time with her family. Blanche was a longtime member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Tacoma. She is survived by two children, Deanna of Puyallup, and Bill (Val) of Prince George, B.C., 6 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. A wonderful mother and grandmother, she was loved by all who knew her. A Service will be held on Saturday, January 10th, at 10AM in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park with burial to follow.
