Blanche Angelique Loken's Obituary
Blanche Angelique Loken, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2006, at Garden Courte Memory Care Community in Olympia, WA. She was born September 1, 1919, in Paris, France, to Aloysious Frederick and Angelique Octave (Crochet) LeVitre. They came to America by ship in 1922.She lived in Fargo, ND two years, the greater Seattle area 36 years, graduated from West Seattle High School in 1937, moved to Tacoma in 1959.She worked many years at Sears & Roebuck in Seattle and Lakewood. Blanche enjoyed time with family and friends, RV outings, playing cards and bingo, loved watching football and baseball, dancing, trips to Reno and winters in Arizona.Blanche is survived by her husband of 57 years, Virgil; two daughters, Lynne (Kenneth) Lindsay of Monmouth, OR, and Sharon (Gilbert) Armenta of Lacey, WA; five grandchildren, Lisa (Daniel) Welsh, Heather and Lance Lindsay, Derek and Casey Daily; brother Rene LeVitre of Tacoma and sister Yvonne Reed of Gig Harbor.Blanche was cremated and placed to rest in the Garden of Peace Memorial Wall at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA.
